My evening fire....


Beautiful morning light...just the sounds of birds and the crunch of leaves under our feet....


The neighborhood osprey who calls the gazebo home.


The Potomac River. The land is way off in the distance. George Washington was born about 2 miles down-river and Robert E. Lee about the same distance the other way.


All the rangers live in the park. He even gave me his home number and cell in case I need anything. Very nice of him.








Before I begin my work day, the pups and I are heading the 5 miles into Montrose to go grocery shopping. I can cook!!!!! I need to remember it's just me and to not get carried away.....
