A few little things...hotel rooms, R.V., and NYC apartment

Yes, these are little things as compared with yesterday, but big to me. I am staying at this La Quinta in Maryland as you know since Tuesday night and I leave on Saturday to travel to another town for kid's interviews. The problem was that they were booked for tonight and so I was going to have to leave for tonight-gathering all my stuff (computers, clothes, kitchen stuff, 2 dogs) and move to another hotel that does not take dogs, so Patch and Wilma were going to have to hang out by the car all day and sleep in the car. I was then coming back on Friday night because this hotel is cheaper and allows dogs. Everyday I ask if a room has become available and as of last night, it was no. Well, the girls up front and I have become friends (You go girl! when I left yesterday) and our last conversation the general manager was there too I guess. Just now I was told that 'they worked it out' and that they didn't want me to leave. I gave Mary a hug and am so thankful. What a relief! Now it's a big workday...perfect.

Next my friend Kevin from Camping World in St. Augustine called to tell me that they now have my R.V. inside the shop and are taking it apart. Though they don't expect the parts for a while, they want to be ready to put it all back together when the parts come. They don't want me to have any down time, so they started. How nice of them and how nice of Kevin to call and update me. He asks how I'm doing and how's it all going.

People are so wonderful! Again, I am so lucky...

June 15 Atlanta, Georgia (on the way back to Florida to drop off the rental car)

June 20-July 5: Resting and rejuvenating somewhere-maybe Michigan.....

These are approximate dates and even approximate cities. If you have connections in any of these states with people who could help set up kid's interviews, would you let me know? Someone had an upstate New York connection, and I can't remember who it was...is it you?

Now off to mail a 'care package' to my son Russell in Afghanistan. Sunflower seeds and baby wipes were requested. I'm sending a lot more than that naturally!
