Surveys and The Village of Bath
posted by Patty James @ 3:21pm, Thursday 22 April 2010.
Today was a huge day for sending out requests for help with surveys. You will all be so happy when I stop asking for favors! Help me with this please, help me with that please...What is really wonderful about this is that so many people jump right in to help. I sent the surveys to people whose schools, Clubs, or neighborhoods I have been. My quickest response was from Pete, the principal of the Barack Obama Charter School in Compton, CA. He will be happy to help. Yeah! If you can help disseminate these surveys it would be so helpful. It takes all of one minute for kids and one minute for parents to fill out the form. So simple, yet so important.
It's been another 8 hours in front of this computer....not good, but there is no choice. In the mornings I walk with the dogs and just now I got back from another walk. During the day, I also stop for a bit here and there and do some push ups or lift weights. All the electromagnetic rays and sitting are not good for me, so I do try to be cognizant of those things. This morning I went to Mossy Bank Park, about 3 miles out of town in farm country. The gate was locked, but Luther and Mary Ruth said to go ahead and walk. I left a note on my car with my cell phone in case someone wondered whose car was parked outside the gate. I walked down the gravel road, Wilma and Patch sans leashes, and met a ranger who told me the park didn't open until May, but help myself just the same-no leashes was just fine. Larry was his name-nice man. We were there this morning and again just now. Here are some photos....
Main Street of the Village of Bath

The park is mostly trails, but in the center is a playground with a swing-set (!)
My feet as I swing...so much fun. Don't you love to swing?
Patch is smiling...feelin' good...
Wilma loves to run free...has to actually or she goes nuts. I understand...
I was pleased to see the farmer next door didn't till under his/her crop in the fall-less erosion. Isn't it pretty?
Birds eye view of Bath from the park
Another view from the park...a pretty farm
I am now in process of uploading the last 5 interviews from Maryland. Be sure to watch them. For me Liam and Sarah's were particularly interesting.
I will be in Buffalo on Tuesday at the Apple Store getting a tutorial about using IMovies. I know there are tricks that will make this process easier. Between now I then I am sending out surveys, getting caught up on paperwork and setting kid's interviews for new states. We added Cleveland, so if anyone knows a school or Club there, please let me know!
