Buffalo, New York

I arrived in Buffalo, New York an hour ago and checked into my room. The sweet man at the desk upgraded my room for free. I have a jacuzzi tub and a living room, not that I need a living room, but still, it was good of him to do. Even though I am in town (next to the airport) there are old railroad tracks so therefore a path to walk the dogs without leashes.

I will continue to work on surveys today and kid's interviews in other states. Tomorrow's computer class should be great, I'm really looking forward to it. There are more articles to write as well. I had a couple new requests today.

Patch and Wilma told me today that playing with other dogs sounds good, so I will drop them off at Camp Bow Wow, on Wednesday, a day early, and then head into Niagara Falls, also a day early. I have changed what I was planning to do there-I will hike and conjure up visions of my Grandparents there on their honeymoon many years ago, I will go wine tasting and enjoy meals out (cooked food!!! I can't wait.) I plan to get dressed up and enjoy my dinners looking out at the Falls. Very nice! I need some alone time...no offense to Patch and Wilma!

Something else has happened the last couple days. Last night I was tossing and turning and was basically awake all night. I had made some plans while in Niagara Falls that weren't feeling right in my gut, and hadn't been for a couple weeks, although I was trying (really hard) to ignore my instincts and intuition. This morning, I canceled those plans, felt much better, and about an hour later I knew for sure that my gut was right on. So interesting to me. I'm not sure how I lost touch with my intuition over the years, but I am thankful that's it back and even more thankful that I can hear it screaming at me! I would like to know if anyone else lost connection with their 'gut' and then got it back.

I have learned so much about myself and others while on the road and for that I am thankful-it was an unexpected part of the journey. There have been so many wonderful new friends in my life-Sharon, Deanna and now Lena, who will always be my friends I'm sure. We have a friendship built on honesty and mutual respect with similar interests thrown in for added good measure! Again, I am so lucky!

I'll let you know about my computer class tomorrow and then the next post will be Niagara Falls!

My sister Joanne left me a nice email last night saying she had read my post about listening to our guts and intuition. She said, " Sometimes it is just a quiet kind of nagging voice. Other times it is quite vocal. If it is a loud voice saying, "I don't want to do it!" it is easier to believe. When it is just kind of in the back ground, it makes me feel undecided. But then those usually are not big decisions." Well put Joanne and exactly what I was trying to say. Love, Patty

What fun it will be to get in touch with your grandparents on their Honeymoon. What was the date? Can you do a little research to see what the falls looked like during that time period so that you can see it as it was then and imagine them there. Nancy
