Beauty, 'brown-washing,' patterns, heart rocks.

When the sun greets you at 5:00 a.m., you get a lot done in a day. I manage to hike twice a day and still work at least 8 hours and more like 10. It's great. I just got back from a hike on Cadillac Summit. What an incredible view! 360 degrees. These photos will not do it justice. Patch was a real champ on the boulders. I love to hike on boulders and I wasn't sure how he would do, but he did great! Impressive.
First photos and then an update:

The photos were all taken in Acadia National Forest, which is a huge park and so beautiful. I find myself walking down a trail and stopping in my tracks to look at the most amazing shade of green of the new spring leaves. I notice colors more than anything lately. The bark on some of the trees have a red-tinge. Some of the moss I saw had at least five shades of green and yellow.
Before my first hike this morning at about 10:00 a.m. I stopped at a little cafe and bought a blueberry muffin which was bran-looking and packed with blueberries. One thing about Maine-blueberries and lobsters are everywhere! Anyway..I was brown-washed! The muffin was made with white flour and white sugar I'm sure-way too sweet! They put a little bran in there, but with all those sweet blueberries, why so much sugar? You never knew someone could get so worked up over a muffin, did you?
In nature I have always been able to clear out the cobwebs in my head and this week (and it's only Tuesday!) has been no exception. I have been able to see my own personality patterns and the patterns of my friends so clearly. It's fascinating actually! As it turns out being able to recognize patterns that we have for whatever reason, has made me a lot more patient with not only myself, but with my friends. What happened in this or that person's life to cause them to do the same thing over and over. Why do I? If you can, try to recognize your own patterns.
I made some pretty great progress today on STL curriculum. I'm feeling really good about it. I also did some work on the book based on what the kids say they want/need. I prepared my ENews for June (on www.pattyjames.com) and the topic is collaboration. The Power of We. It all seems clear to me as I travel that yes, this country's health is in dire straits, but I can feel the cooperation and see so many people pulling in the same direction. I am starting a 'Collaboration Community.' More on that soon.
It's almost 7:00 here and I want to go outside and watch the sunset on the water show. One last thought, I am feeling good, like I am finally stepping into myself. I feel more compassionate with everything and everyone. Little bothers me for long and life is an incredible journey. For many reasons in my life, I am on a good path.
Today's cool rocks...
Heart rocks...
Doesn't this look like a seal to you? Does to me...
