Interviews and this and that

Naperville, Illinois kids. Besides these sweet faces, I also had another girl and a group of 3 siblings whose individual photos I forgot to take (again!) You'll see all the videos soon. As usual they were interesting. Kate, pictured first, can read personal auras. We chatted more about it after the questions-really fascinating.







I am in contact with two south side Chicago Boy's and Girl's Clubs, so hopefully I will be at one or both of them on Friday. I am really looking forward to getting into one or both after reading the demographics.

Today I mailed off a whole folder of written surveys to Sonoma State University. If you can help with this part of the data collection, please let me know. They only take a minute or two for parents and kids to fill out and they are so helpful. Let me know.....thanks!

I had two very long walks today to blow off steam after a very frustrating series of phone calls with Hertz regarding my rental car. I was supposed to have it until the RV is ready and they called to say they sold it, want it back and I would have to pay $2,100 for the next 2 1/2 weeks since I will pick it up here in Chicago and drop it off in St. Augustine. I very calmly and sweetly explained to 3 people that this information was incorrect and to call Tiffany in St. Augustine who rented me the car. Bottom line, after the 4th person, I asked to speak to a manager and after a conference with Hertz in St. Augustine, this mess is cleared up. When I get to O'Hare airport to drop off this car and pick up the new one, I hope all is well. My patience was running a tad thin today after the 4th person. Nothing a fast walk/run can't cure!

Victoria and I have had a good time visiting. Her house and neighborhood is gorgeous and she and I have had fun. It's weird as I've only been here for 3 days, but I'm getting a tad antsy already. I'm just used to moving around I guess. Also, some personal things are making me nervous and Victoria walked me through options/scenarios, which is always helpful. So this week is rental car exchange, more computer work, Friday (hopefully) Chicago and kids. I might go back to Chicago next week as well-we'll see. Next Saturday I head back south.

If anyone knows anyone in Kansas and Nebraska, please let me know. South Dakota as well.
