I get to chat with these beautiful souls all day....

Look at these kids...they are so intuitive and insightful.
I was in south Chicago at a Boys and Girls Club. The very caring staff takes such good care of these kids. "Why are you here so early? Did you skip class? " asked of one young woman. Hello AJ, where's your sister?...type of thing all day long. Thank goodness for them....

This is 10 year old Brianna-she is so beautiful and so wise. She knows she eats too much junk food. She loves strawberries, but admitted she dips them in sugar. We made a deal that she would only dip the last strawberry in sugar from now on. She liked that.....


This 13 year-old hamburger is AJ and he agreed to be on the student advisory council. He is a big mentor to all the other kids and helped me all day. Be sure to watch his video and hear what he has gone through and see and feel his incredible attitude. I am so inspired.


This little 6 year old sweetie is Jennae. So cute...She's healthy, she says, because she's in the Club. She really likes broccoli!



Amare is 11 years old-12 in July (only kids wish they were older!) She wishes her family would eat less junk food (I hear that a lot...) She's kind of shy and very sweet.


Keanna is 10 years old. Isn't she beautiful? She loves oranges and that is her snack of choice. She is very wise and is very fortunate to have a lot of family in her life. Her Auntie 'invites her to eat vegetables.' She makes very careful decisions. She is very proud that her Mom is a manager...



Not really much else to say is there?
