St Augustine, Florida

First the photos...these were all taken from my chair on the deck of the restaurant where I had dinner tonight-quite the view...

I don't know what this ship is-maybe a tourist thing?


Some kind of Heron. I kept wanting another heron to show up and keep him/her company, but it never happened.

I saved the best for last...a gorgeous sunset, as always, in St. Augustine.




Well, to be succinct-the RV isn't ready. Maybe Friday, maybe next week. They are still waiting for parts. So...

I went into town after the dogs and I had out morning run on the beach (I swear they remembered the beach) to meet some new friends, which I did. I had a nice chat with the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Robin, who gave me some names. I went to see those people (just showed up on their doors) and might have had some luck. The one man is director of a local culinary academy that is pretty well known and they teach the Navy Cooks how to cook. I had an immediate connection then. It was a fun half hour or so and David is trying to help round up some work for me. I'll know by tomorrow night. I might have also lined up a personal chef job.

I also met a woman who owns a local shop called 'Go Fish' (clothes and jewelry) and she is trying to help too. Her shop has been fair trade before anyone knew what that meant. I liked her right away. Hopefully she will call tomorrow as well. I will call them if I don't hear from then. Everyone was so nice and so supportive.

It was a good day. I must have been a beach bum in a past life. I do love the ocean and warm water. It was 90 degrees today and the water must have been at least 75 degrees if not warmer. Love it!
