Amarillo, Texas..and need help gathering kids...

I arrived in Amarillo yesterday after a non-eventful drive from Albuquerque. It was sunny and the road was clear. Today is a different story. I have a rare day today where I do not have any appointments and can try to catch up on paperwork and reflect on the many kids I have met so far. I am thankful I am not driving as it's really nasty outside-slushy snow, winds (the RV is rocking slightly) and rain. The dogs don't even want to go outside. I did manage a run this morning with Wilma...Patch wanted nothing to do with it, stopped in his tracks and turned around.

I made a video of myself making a kale/apple/carrot/ginger/hemp smoothie this morning in my RV kitchen. I'll post it soon.  I am also working on more talks for the kids for after the interviews-my thank you to the kids and administrators of the schools for taking the time to help gather kids. Every once in a while, we have someone at a school hang up on us or be rude to me or Olivia when we explain the project, but thankfully that is not often.

It would be great to have more help setting up the kids interviews. If you have family or friends in any of the communities where we are going, can you let us know? It's so much easier when someone in the community speaks to a school or organization first. Thanks!

I have been ruminating on the we-don't-want-to-know-where-our-food-comes-from comments. More on that soon....
